What is Rainscreen cladding system 

Rainscreen is a term most commonly used for ventilated facade panel systems, as a non-structural, external surface also know as rainscreen cladding.

Rainscreen cladding provide an outer weather resistant decorative skin, fixed to a structure by means of a supporting grid, and maintain a cavity which is ventilated and drained, between itself and the primary structure.

To stop the fire spreading open state compression fire barriers are imbedded throughout the structure still allowing the cavity between the cladding and main building to be ventilated.

The cladding creates a protective layer for the building’s waterproofing membranes by providing a durable and aesthetically pleasing surface.
